Valor Construction was founded by Rob Hedley and Tom Brand to bring practical construction knowledge and commercial expertise together. We support commercial, industrial and high-end residential projects, from early planning through to handover.
Rob — project delivery
Rob’s trade background began in steel erection, followed by pipe and steel fabrication using MIG, TIG and ARC welding techniques. He combines this practical foundation and mechanical and HVAC experience with site and project management across commercial, industrial and residential environments. He holds NVQ Level 6 qualifications in Construction Management covering Building & Civil Engineering and Residential Development, alongside PRINCE2.
His experience includes programme coordination, procurement, specialist subcontractor management, site operations and handover. This practical background informs his approach to buildability, safe working and clear communication with clients and project teams.
Tom — commercial management
Tom holds an MSc in Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management with Merit from Oxford Brookes University. His construction-industry experience covers estimating, procurement, valuations, variations, subcontract accounts and final accounts.
He brings careful attention to scope, cost information and commercial negotiation, helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions as a project develops.

Our approach is to raise concerns early, explain proposed changes and take responsibility for following up agreed actions. We welcome questions and take time to explain the detail, so clients understand what happens next.
Attentive service means looking beyond the immediate task: anticipating coordination needs, helping resolve issues and giving completion and handover the care they deserve. Specialist contractors and consultants are appointed where the project requires their expertise.
